unprotected passwords
Hi @cathyandjon,
Welcome to Trend Micro Home Users Community,I understand your concern about the notification regarding "43 unprotected passwords." This message typically refers to passwords saved in your web browser or other applications that may not be securely stored. Even if you don't intentionally save passwords, many browsers and apps do so automatically unless you disable the feature.
To locate and manage these passwords:
-
Check Your Web Browser Settings: Most browsers (like Chrome, Firefox, Safari) have a section where you can view saved passwords. Look for "Passwords" or "Security" settings in your browser's menu.
-
Password Management Apps: If you use password management software, check if there are any entries marked as unprotected.
-
Review Applications: Some applications may save passwords locally. Check settings or preferences within these apps for any saved passwords.
Hope this helps.

trend micro antivirus does not update automatically
@woodsro0,
As mentioned on the previous replies, your Trend Micro program already has the latest component version installed. Usually, when you manually check for program updates on About the Software tab, it will try to download and install updates and will automatically be updated as soon as a newer version is available.
If Windows Security settings is still showing that your antivirus software is out of date even though you have the latest version installed, kindly try restarting the components of your Trend Micro program by following the steps here.
Also, please ensure that your Windows operating system is up to date. Microsoft regularly releases updates that can address bugs and improve compatibility with antivirus software.
Hope this helps. -
