Attention Trend Micro Community!

 

 

 

What's going on?

 

We would like to inform you about an ongoing issue that some of our Mobile Security for iOS users have encountered after updating to the latest version, 11.2.1070. This update has caused internet connectivity problems when the Web Guard feature is enabled. We are currently investigating this issue.

 

 

 

 

What to do!

  1. Check if Trend Micro Mobile Security for iOS is in the latest version. (11.2.1070)
  2. Observe Internet Connection Status while Web Guard is ON for both Wi-Fi and Mobile Data.
  3. Offload App Data 
  4. Reinstall Trend Micro Mobile Security

If issue persists, please provide the details below: 

  1. Mobile Security for iOS version
  2. iPhone/iPad Model:
  3. iOS version
  4. Affected Network Mode: (Wifi or Mobile Data)
    • ISP (Telstra, Optus, AT&T, Verizon)
    • Mobile Service Provider (Telstra, Optus, Vodafone)

    If you have a new activation key

    1. Go to the Activation Portal.
    2. Below the Get Started button, click Or sign in to your Trend Micro Account link.
    3. Sign in with your email address or phone number, then click Next.
    4. Type your secure password, then click Next.
    5. Enter your activation code, then put a check beside I have read and agree to the Trend Micro License Agreement. Click Next to proceed.
    6. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Mobile Security app.
    7. Select Settings, then sign in with your Trend Micro account.


    NOTE: If you are already signed in, sign out of the app, then sign in again to update your subscription.

    Please follow the steps below on how you can activate your Trend Micro Mobile Security:

    If you are activating for the first time

    1. Go to Activation Portal.
    2. Click the Get Started button.
    3. Create a Trend Micro Account using your email address or phone number.
    4. Provide a secure password, then click Next.
    5. Type your First and Last Name to complete your profile, then click Next.
    6. Enter your activation code, then put a check beside I have read and agree to the Trend Micro License Agreement. Click Next to proceed.
    7. On your iPhone or iPad, open the Mobile Security app.
    8. Select Settings, then sign in with the Trend Micro account you created.
